The aim of the study was to estimate physiological effects of the complex preparation Provitol (PR, mixture of ether oils and probiotic bacteria) and phyto preparation Mix-Oil (MO, wheat bran or sunflower solvent cake overlaid with ether oils, medicines plant extracts and citric acid), added to rations for dairy cows. The trial was performed on 30 multiparous cows which were assign to 3 groups, 10 cows each, with daily milk yield 26-30 kg, fed during 166 days a basic ration (BR, control) or BR supplemented with PR (20 g/d per cow, group II) or MO (20 g/d per cow, group III). Application of both preparations during transition and subsequent periods increased the total number of celluloselytic microflora (RuminococcaceaeиLachnospiraceae) and decreased the fraction of pathogenic bacteria (Enterobacteriaceae, Fusobacterium, Helicobacter, Staphylococcus). Changing the rumen microflora composition has exerted a positive influence on milk performance of cows. Daily yields of 4% milk in groups II and III were increased by 7.4% (+1.75 kg of milk) and 13.6% (+3.21 kg of milk) respectively compared with control.
