ABSTRACT. Sheatfish (Silurus glanis L.) is usually used as an additional culture in carp fisheries. The authors of the paper have revealed the differences in some immune and biochemical indices between fishes of various ages and those getting from different fishery zones. The two-years aged fishes have higher levels of nonspecific immune complexes (IC), malonate dialdehyde (MDA) and oxidation kinetics of reduced 2,6-dichlorphenolinophenol by oxygen (OK) in comparison to one year aged fish; the higher levels in two years aged fishes are determined by specific features of metabolism in the more aged fish. The values of IC, MDA and OK in two years aged fish from fisheries of fish-breeding zone II were higher compared to fish-breeding zone V. Significantly smaller values of IC, MDA and OK revealed in one fishery indicate a more comfort condition of water, decreased content of pathogenic microorganisms and good functional state of fish’s organism.
