ABSTRACT. Relatively recently introduced into zooculture, arctic foxes retained the reproduction stereotype inherent to their wild ancestors, in particular, the time-compressed period of postnatal development. Unlike most productive animals belonging to the maturonal, from the point of view of development biology arctic foxes are of interest as immaturonate fur animals. The aim of this work is to study the distribution of lactate dehydrogenase isoenzymes in internal organs (heart, kidney, spleen, lungs, skeletal muscle, liver) in puppies of farmed blue arctic foxes Alopex lagopus L. at the age from 15 to 210 days after birth. Separation of isoenzymes was carried out by horizontal enzyme electrophoresis on agar gel plates. It is shown that in the arctic fox pup’s heart after 15 days after the birth of, a high level of aerobic LDH isoenzymes with a total content of about 80% was observed. Statistically significant changes in the isoenzyme spectrum of LDH of kidneys were detected in 25 day’s puppies. At the same time, the LDH5/LDH1 ratio decreased by 2 times compared to the previous age, which may be due to the beginning of the use of definitive food and the restructuring of the urine organs. In the period after jigging from mothers in two-month puppies in the isoenzyme spectrum of LDH of the spleen and lungs (in tissues with the predominance of a hybrid fraction, LDH-3), significant rearrangements were observed. In the liver and in the muscle m. biceps femoris (organs with predominantly anaerobic energy production system) in the isoenzyme LDH profile from the 15th day the anaerobic subunits of the enzyme predominated. It has been revealed that the tissue-specificity of the isoenzymatic spectrum of LDH is manifested during the first month of life, and its final formation takes place during 6 months of postnatal development.
