With the aim to increase silage quality, the green clever in the phase of butonization was ensilaged with enzymatic preparation macerobacillin (MB, pectate transeliminase activity of 1000 U/g), added at the dose 0.1 and 0.3% by mass . At this doses, the level of structural carbohydrates decreased (starch by 8.7 and 14%, hemicellulose by 6.1 and 30%, cellulose by на 8.7, and 14%, lignin by 11 and 18%) and that of sugar increased by 12 and 24% respectively against the background of decrease in dry matter loss, on the average by 34%, compared with variant of spontaneous fermentation. Digestibility of crude fiber in gastro-intestinal tract of wethers was increased, on the average by 23% (P<0.05). In the physiological trial, 8 young wethers were ascribed to 2 groups fed during 60 days the basic diet (BD) with of spontaneous fermentation (group I, control) or BD with silage made with 0.3% of MB (group II).
