ABSTRACT. The aim was to evaluate the changes in contractile activity of alveoli under vibratory stimulation of teats during milking, using indices of milk removal and blood supply of the udder. In 3 cows during control period, the milking was performed by serial milking machine with vacuum level 48 kPa, pulsation frequency of 67 min-1, the ratio of ticks 68:32. The treatment was the use of milking machine with pulsator consisting of two units, the first one worked with normal pulse rate, the second created high-frequency (10-12 Hz) oscillations of teats’ rubber with amplitude of 1-2 mm in suckling tact. The volume blood flow rate in the udder’s half was measured using implanted electromagnetic probe. Vibratory stimulation of teats did not exert influence on milking duration and intensity of milk removal, but it increased blood supply of the udder, shortened latency period, increased the amplitude of the alveoli contraction and lengthened their expansion phase. It is assumed that the activation of alveolar complex in response to vibratory stimulation of teats results in a more intense movement of milk from the alveolar into сisternal department of the udder, and this effect was not accompanied under experimental conditions by an intensification of milk removal.
