The trial was performed on 1200 broiler chicks assigned to 4 groups, 300 chicks each, fed during 42 days a based diet (BD, group I, control), BD + dihydroethoxyquin (DHE), 20mg/kg of food (group II), BD + DHE. 70 mg/kg (group III) and BD + DHE, 200 mg/kg (group IV). At the end of trial, blood probes were taken (n=5) with the aim to estimate the state of natural resistance. The positive dose-dependent effect of DHE was indicated in the blood concentration of SH-groups and cholesterol of high density lipoproteins, and negative effect – in blood content of malonate dialdehyde and cholesterol of low density lipoproteins. The blood content of bilirubins did not change. The indices of viability, growth performance and carcass quality in treatment groups were higher vs control, the increment was proportional to amounts of DHE included in the diet (r=0,83; P<0,01); the most viability was indicated in group 4 (98.7%; P<0.01). The data obtained suggest the positive effect of DHE supplement on metabolism, growth performance and viability of broiler chicks.
