ABSTRACT. The aim was to study the effectiveness of the using two probiotic complexes of spore-forming bacteria for milky calves and calved cows: No. 1, made on the basis of 3 strains: Bacillus subtilis VKM B-2998D; Bacillus licheniformis VKM B-2999D; Bacillus subtilis (natto) VKPM B-12079, with the total content of viable spores of at least 5×109 CFU/g; No. 2, based on 2 strains of Bacillus subtilis VKM B-2998D andBacillus licheniformis VKM B-2999D with a total viable spores of at least 5×109 CFU/g with a complex enzyme preparation (cellulase, 2000 U/g, xylanase, up to 8000 U/g, glucanase, 1500 U/g). The first groups of cows and calves served as controls. The biochemical, hematological and immunological parameters of blood, microbiological background, VFA content in feces, rumen digestion performance in calves and cows in groups II and III generally did not differ significantly from that of control groups. In the calves of experimental groups, the levels of total protein in the blood and phagocytic activity were increased vs control (P<0.05). Average daily LWG of calves in groups II and III treated with probiotics No. 1 and No. 2, were higher by 5,9-8,5% vs control; per 1 kg of LWG in these groups was spent 41,1-41,7 MJ ME, i.e. by 2,1-3,5% lower vs control. The cows in groups II and III produced 3.4% cent fat milk by 11.0 and 6.8% more in comparison with control. Coefficients of nutrients digestibility in calves and cows in groups II and III were higher in comparison with control. Additional income from calves for 110 days of the experiment was 461 and 907; and from cows during 116 days − 7354 and 4164 rubles per head in groups II and III respectively.
