ABSTRACT. The trial was conducted on 40 purebred black-and-white calves which at the age 30 days were ascribed to 4 groups, 10 calves each, fed during 5 months the basic diet (group I, BD, control), BD supplemented with 0.5% of feed preparation dihydroquercetin (DHQ) (group II), BD supplemented with 3% of mineral enterosorbent vodnit (V) (group III) and BD + 3.0% V + 0.5% DHQ (group IV). In IV group at the end of trial, there was indicated an increase in blood serum concentration of total protein, albumin and γ-globulins by 14.8 (P<0.001), 12.9 (P<0.001) and 16.2 % (P<0.001) vs control, by 12.3, 10.7 and 15.1% (P<0.001) vs group II, by 7.9, 8.7 and 7.5% (P<0.001) vs group III respectively; live weight was increased by 3.4 to 14.1% and daily LWG by 4.4 to 18.0% (P<0.001) vs control. So, adding diet DHQ and V to the basic diet ameliorates physiological state, humoral immunity and growth performance in calves.
