The study was carried out on two groups of poultry herd, 9000 chickens and 640 cockerels each, fed during 90 days a basic diet (BD, control) or BD supplemented with fat soluble antioxidant selenopyran (SP), 9 mg/kg of concentrate, and water soluble antioxidant dihydroethoxiquine (DHE), 30 mg/kg. At the end of the trial, there was indicated the increase in gonads mass (by 6%, P<0.1), in sperm production (by 33%, P<0.01), and in hatchability of chicks (from 83.1 up to 94.2%, P<0.01). The quantity of non-fertilized eggs in treatment and control groups were 11.9 and 2.8% (P<0.01), viability was 99,4 and 96,8% respectively. In the treatment group, there was indicated the increase in blood plasma concentration of HDLP cholesterol (P<0.05), in ratio of SH/SS groups, in the activity of superoxiddismutase (P<0.01) and glutathionperoxidase (P<0.05), against the background of decreased blood content of MDA (P<0.05) and VLDLP cholesterol (P<0.1). The data obtained suggest that inclusion in diets for breeding poultry of DHE and SP in indicated doses occur the positive influence on nonspecific resistance, reproductive function of cockerels and on the economic indices of poultry farm.
