ABSTRACT. The trial was performed on 4 groups, 25 of purebred and crossbred pigs each, formed on 30-day age with regard to genotype: Large white (I, LW), LW sows × Duroc boars (II, LW×D), LW sows × boars of fast growing meat breed (III, LW×SM-1); LW sows ×Yorkshire boars (IV, LW×Y). All pigs were fed by the same standard of rationing for pigs of meat-fat type of productivity. At the age of 20, 40 and 60 d, the probes of blood were taken and values of daily LWG were measured. All pigs were slaughtered at the attainment of LW 100 kg. During all periods of the trial, the hybrids were differed from purebred contemporaries by elevated blood concentration of hemoglobin (by 6-13%), erythrocytes (by 7-13%), leukocytes (by 6-13%), platelets (by 4-6%), and by elevated activity of transaminases AST (by 11-17%) and ALT (by 8-11%). The values of daily LWG through period of growing and fattening in groups I-IV were 668±6; 726±7 (P<0.05), 711±7; 754±7 (P<0.01); feed consumption per 1 kg of gain: 4.0±0.1; 3.7±0.3 (P<0.05); 3.9± 0.3; 3.5± 0.3 kg (P<0.01); thickness of back fat: 32.1±0.4; 28.3±0.8 (P<0.01); 27.6±0,9 (P<0.01); 26.8±0.9 mm (P<0.001) respectively. By the author’s opinion, comparative analysis of dynamics in blood biochemical indices and growth intensity indicates that nutrition standards for F1 hybrids have to be corrected taking into account the special traits of metabolic processes in pigs of different age and genotype.
