The object was to carry out a screening investigation aimed to select the high molecular water-soluble polymers which may be used as a basis of novel feed additives.There was developed a method to estimate diffusion and complex forming traits of high molecular water-soluble polymers, on the example of cationic polymer VPK-402 (polydimethyl diallylammonium chloride). There were established that this polymer has high complex forming capacity to opposite charged ions, high sorption capacity and does not pass through pores with diameter 4-5 nm. Diffusion and complex forming traits of polymers-polyelectrolites can be estimated in vitro by the methods of filtration through membranes with micro pores and that of dialysis. Composition of complexes obtained can be estimated by the potential metric method.
